Oh esta Todo buen (Oh this All Good)

October 13, 2014

Buenas Dias familia y amigos,

Well, all is going well. My companion recovered from his Chikungunya and I refuse to get it! haha. Something I forgot to add in my last email, I went to this lake that formed over a volcano. I’m pretty sure the volcano is dormant but it was pretty sketchy. The ground felt like it would break and fall, and it was pretty soft. It felt like sand but it wasn’t. It was kind of weird haha.

So yesterday we all had interviews with President and Sister Vasquez! It was good. They helped me with new ideas to find more investigators and how to better the area. As of right now we only have like… 15 investigators maybe and it’s pretty hard to find new investigators without the help of the members. President Vasquez asked me how I felt about being a trainer… HA! for a minute there I thought he was joking around. But I told him that I will go and I will do, if Heavenly Father calls me. I told him that Heavenly Father is helping me prepare for the day I’m called to be in leadership positions and it’s true. I don’t feel like the same person as I was when I left for the MTC. I know I say that a lot but I truly don’t feel the same person haha and I only have 6 months out!!! how crazy…(Mom insert…..Humble was never his strong point.)

I’m sorry I don’t have much to say… but one thing for sure is that one of my investigators passed his interview with President Vasquez! And we’re hoping he can be baptized this weekend!! Fransisco Cordova is a really good guy and has been waiting for this chance to be baptized! When he drank coffee like a month ago he was broken-hearted because we had to push back his date to be baptized. Now he’s extremely excited and we are hoping this weekend!

I have another investigator, Catherine Correas, that is really prepared for the gospel! Her sister is a member and is getting ready to submit her papers to go on a mission. What made her have the desire to learn about the church and stuff was through her sister and the good example she is to her. She is excited to get baptized too! We had to move her date to the 1st of November because she drank coffee too… but I hope I’m still in this area to be able to see her get baptized. It will be one amazing day!

So I don’t have much to write… it’s been an ok week and I’m always working hard to find more people that are prepared to accept the gospel in their lives.

Thank you for your prayers and your never ending love!

Good to see Elder White getting a little chunkier!!

I would have loved to have seen the lake!!

Chikungunya (pronunciation: \chik-en-gun-ye) virus is transmitted to people by mosquitoes. The most common symptoms of chikungunya virus infection are fever and joint pain. Other symptoms may include headache, muscle pain, joint swelling, or rash. (FUN!!)

Loving his emails and so glad he was safe through the earthquake. He looks good and sounds great! Love you all and so grateful for Heavenly Father’s watchful eye over our missionaries.
